‘Wikipedia’ for Sanitation
A lot of information on sanitation is scattered, not well-managed (ie. not well collected, stored, disseminated, shared or exchanged) and not very easily accessible for the general public. In 2011, the government has launched a National Water and Sanitation Information System (NAWASIS) – a portal for collecting and sharing information among government levels (national – province – districts/cities). The portal, however, is not yet designed for exchange of information amongst the public.
‘Wikipedia’ for sanitation – An interactive open-source platform on sanitation, containing modules that
(1) contain sanitation related information (regulations, innovation & technology, hardware prices, etc.);
(2) crown sanitation champions;
(3) contain a networking platform for Community-Based Organizations, etc;
Make use of the portal www.nawasis.info. Preferrably create a module that can be integrated into this portal.
Exchange of knowledge and information is more and more done interactively through the internet. Through this WikiSan module, sanitation knowledge and experience can also be exchanged through this interactive way online. This is especially valuable in Indonesia, where practitioners are scattered across many islands and it is hard to meet together regularly.

Akvopedia?
Are you looking for a local Sanitation wiki or something global? Akvo has already done a lot of work to create a sanitation wiki (see link in top right corner to Wiki). It would be worth it to think about how these two concepts can work together.
