Assessing water, sanitation and hygiene campaigns
A lot of resource has been sunk into the developing countries for improving sanitation, water and hygiene. The objective is to exterminate the diseases emanating from poor sanitation, water and hygiene.
As the campaign intensifies there is need to constantly measure the impact of effort. This can be done looking at number of patients diagnosed with pathogen related diseases, per a given period, before a specific project and the subsequent diagnosed case after commencement of the project.
Develop a program to that will enable laboratory professionals at work anywhere (so long as there is available mobile phone network), to instantly capture cases where pathogens have been detected to a central data bank using the mobile phone.
A hacked solution do the well because it not easy to single to undertake this task. All stake holders to share the cost, Governments, NGOs, Private sector etc because it’s a global cause.
